The must and huskiness
Of this issue reeks with stench and despair
Africana Loxodonta
This magnanimous beast has appeared
Out of nowhere
Can’t climb above it
Can’t tip toe around it
No ducking underneath it
Or hoping it won’t find me
Lock, stock, and barrel
I am forced to stare at this mammal
Face to face
Faced with fate
The writing’s etched on the wall
But my faith won’t be erased
The Earth shudders beneath me
There is no escape or use
In calling for help
This test was designed specifically
For me, myself and I
Not somebody else

Love it, love it, love it!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed this one!
Harsh… and absolutely true. Rock on.
A great reminder. Thanks!
