Locked Up (She Won’t Let Me Out)

Escape

What on earth would make someone try to escape out of a window of their own 8th story apartment? Well, let’s see…maybe somebody running from a burglar, their apartment being on fire, or maybe even sleep walking? Ok, the last one is a stretch. But what about trying to escape from an 8th story window to get away from your wife? WTH?!?!  This is exactly the case for one 35-year-old Estonian man. Yes, his wife is so controlling that she wouldn’t let him out of their apartment. As if the situation itself isn’t crazy enough, the husband actually agreed to staying locked up in him and his wife’s apartment. That is until he got tired of it and decided to escape.

The unnamed husband (I wouldn’t have revealed my name to the public either) of Wifey Dearest was so eager to break loose and hang out with his friends, that he figured he tie up a string of sheets to lower himself to the complex’s first floor. His plan actually worked….until he got to the 7th floor and the sheets could no longer hold him. The husband ended up falling 7 floors down to the ground. In this case, 7 is obviously not the sign of completion or perfection, but maybe it does symbolize protection. Luckily he fell to a cushiony pile of snow instead of the hard concrete.

There is so much wrong with this story I don’t even know where to start. First of all, why is the wife holding her husband hostage in their own home? And for no apparent reason. I bet she’s probably doing everything she wants while he stays tied down in the apartment. More importantly, why is a grown man subjecting himself to being stuck in the house from his wife???? Who does that? I guess he does. There’s way more to this story that somebody’s obviously not telling. Another thing I don’t understand is why “hanging out with his friends” was the reason he decided to risk his life from 8 stories up. Granted, everyone should be able to hang out with their friends, but it seems like he would have had a better reason than that. Even if it was just to get away from his wife, that would have been a better reason to me. Maybe him going to hang out was his chance to get away.

Do you think this man’s actions were justified? Or does he just need to man up and stand up to his wife?

Unlucky 7: Up In Flames

We’ve all gotten annoyed with vending machines before. You punch in the right code, but it shoots out the wrong bag of chips. Or it’s sold out of your favorite drink you’ve been craving. And this one is the worst…when it takes your money and gives you NOTHING back. You look over your shoulder to make sure no one is watching, and kick the machine. That doesn’t work, so then you try shaking it. That $1.25 (or less) will not be thrown away! Well, Debra Johnson decided to take matters into her own hands after a 7-Up machine didn’t dispense her soda. And she had a little help from a lit match and a newspaper. Is it really that serious? WTH?!

Just last weekend, at a Piggly Wiggly store in New Burn, NC, Debra Johnson put some change into a 7-Up vending machine, hoping to get the drink of her choice. But the machine when wrong when it didn’t give her the product she asked for. She decided to get even by stuffing a lit newspaper in the machine….and grabbing a drink from a different machine before she left. 42 year old Johnson was arrested, with basically no resistance. Plus, she’s not even looking for legal representation. She told KLTV-TV “I’ll represent myself, ’cause I’m guilty. I don’t need a lawyer to lie for me, cause I’mma tell you I done it.” And how exactly did she get caught? It was all on video tape (check it out below).

First of all Debra, why are you burning up vending machines at 42 years old? Seems like you would be established enough in life at this point to afford a soda. This is something a crazy teenager would do. But then again, this is crazy for anyone to do, no matter what age you are. What will her punishment be…dare I say it, “if” she’s found guilty? Not that it matters, but I’m also curious to find out if she paid for the drink from the other vending machine. Guess that one didn’t set her off and gave her the drink she paid for, lol. It’s really a shame to go to jail behind a 7-Up soda that costs less than $2.00

What do you think about it all? Were her actions justified to any extent?

T-Mobile, Pay What You Owe

Let’s face it. We’ve all been fed up with customer service at some point or another. Whether it’s the cashier in the drive through with a horrible attitude or the manager that lies to you and says they’re doing all they can to resolve the issue. In our minds, we often act out slapping the person in the head, stomping on them or throwing things (bricks, pots, etc) at them to release our anger. Or is it just me??? Well, one furious Manchester, England T-Mobile customer named Jason Codner decided to take matters into his own hands….literally.

Earlier this week, Jason trashed a local T-Mobile store in Manchester, England by ripping displays from the walls, tearing down signs, and spraying phones with 2 fire extinguishers. What possibly could have made him do this? A refund. Or better yet, a refund that he did not get that he felt he deserved. There aren’t any details as to what the refund was for, but it definitely angered Jason enough to trash the T-Mobile store. And here’s the kicker…he walks in without any kind of mask, and slowly trashes the store as onlookers eventually witness him getting arrested. Surprisingly, he doesn’t resist the arrest and takes full responsibility for his actions. Way to go Jason…even if you do get that refund you more than likely deserved, you’ll be paying much more than that in damages.

So what Do you think about Jason Codner’s rampage? Were his actions justified if he really was ripped off? One thing is for sure. Jason Codner has made huge headlines, and people with T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint phones are all watching the video of his antics. Just goes to show that only takes a little guts and irrational behavior to be a star today. Have you ever lost your mind for a second regarding customer service matters? Or have you thought out a release of anger similar to Jason’s? Definitely a WTH moment….feel free to share your thoughts.

And oh yeah…HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!
