One Sour Tincup And A Lazy Dog
I recently visited Lazy Dog for the first time. Their food was great, including some amazing donut holes with Nutella. Who doesn’t like Nutella? Not to mention I had the best hush puppies I’ve ever tasted there. However, today is Friday Eve so you already know what time it is. Thirsty Thursday. I haven’t posted a drink review in a while, so I knew the next one had to be really good.
Lazy Dog‘s Tincup Whiskey Sour was my drink of choice. I hadn’t had a whiskey sour in a long time so this one really caught my eye. Honestly, the food was a good indicator that the drink would be great. I would have really been disappointed if it tasted….well, sour (in a bad way). One of the things I really appreciated about this drink was the presentation. In addition, it tasted amazing.
Most whiskey sours are a little sweet, but this one has just the right amount of kick to balance it out. This potent burst of liquid flavor consists of tincup mountain whiskey, sweet + sour, yuzu, bitters, fresh rosemary and meyer lemon foam. That’s not all. For those who are calorie conscious, one drink has just 200 calories. Trust me, this is one drink that won’t leave you sour; only glad that you tried it. Don’t be a lazy dog and allow your taste buds to experience drink asap.
I definitely will visit Lazy Dog again soon. I’m not sure what food I will order, but the Tincup Whiskey Sour will somehow be included.
Bottoms up….it’s Thirsty Thursday?
